Shannon Purtell is a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Supervisor National Certified Counselor, and the owner of CALM: Counseling for Anger and Lifeskills Management. She has been in private practice for the last 15 years. Her practice specializes in counseling services for individuals, families and couples dealing with addiction, problematic anger, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, and relationship issues. Shannon is an accomplished public speaker and co-author of the Books of Hope and Healing series.

Meera Rao-Bette

Meera Rao-Bette works with individuals, couples and families, to bring about positive change that will promote personal growth. While she usually prefers a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)/Solution Focused approach to therapy, she customizes the treatment plan to meet the needs of each client. She assists clients to define goals and facilitate acquisition of coping skills and helps their families to build communication and conflict resolution skills. Her clients include those experiencing: Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and/or stress, Relationship problems, Work related problems, Self-esteem issues, and Anger. She first went to graduate school to get a Ph.D in Biochemistry but after a few years of medical research decided that her passion lay in working with people, so she went back to school to become a psychotherapist. Meera hold s a Master’s Degree in Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX, and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Professional Counselors. She also worked at Green Oaks Hospital in Dallas for seven years before going into private practice..

Chevonda Allen

Chevonda Allen believes if you want something new in your life you have to be willing to work for it. She is looking forward to working with you and helping you discover positive change in your life. Chevonda works with adolescents, especially teenage girls, and also has a passion for working with couples. Chevonda is also the facilitator for the CALM Program for anger management. She received her Master’s Degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Media/Communication from Hunter College/CUNY in New York City. She has experience in private practice, community counseling agencies, and inpatient mental health hospitals working with adults, adolescents (14+), families and couples.

Julie Wesley

Julie Wesley has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has been in the field since 1999. She has worked with children, teenagers and adults in various treatment capacities including crisis work, inpatient, outpatient, home-based therapy and intensive outpatient addressing any issue from adjusting to major changes in her client’s lives to serious mental illnesses like Schizophrenia. Julie has been practicing in the Dallas area since 2006 and before that was in New Mexico and Florida. She was raised in southern New Mexico, the oldest child in a military family. She now calls North Texas home and loves every moment.
